• When the Lemming population is low, the snowy owls will leave to find more food.
• Female snowy owls have more stripes than males. These stripes fade over time. (this was mistakenly reversed in the video!)
• Snowy Owls swallow prey whole.
• The feet of Snowy Owls are covered with feathers.
• Their wingspan is 4-5 feet wide.
• Snowy Owls live in the tundra.
• An adult Snowy Owl can eat 3-5 lemmings per day.
• Snowy Owls can live up to 9 or 10 years.
