  • Amphibian – cold-blooded vertebrate animal that is born in water and breathes with gills and as it matures develops lungs and can breathe on land.
  • Predator – an animal that lives by killing and eating other animals.
  • Cannibalistic – an animal that will eat its own species.
  • Carnivore – an animal that eats meat.

Fun Facts

  • Bullfrogs got their name from their bull-like bellow. It almost sounds like a cow.
  • Female bullfrogs are larger than males.
  • Bullfrogs can jump up to 6 feet.
  • Female Bullfrogs can lay up to 20,000 eggs.
  • Bullfrogs can live up to 16 years in captivity, but generally live 6-10 years.
